Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By those that winnow with a winnowing 1 Then those clouds bearing the load (of minute things in space). 2 And those who move (on the water) gently, 3 Then those (angels who) distribute blessings by Our command; 4 What you are promised is certainly true: 5 And indeed, the recompense is to occur. 6 By heaven with all its tracks 7 Verily, [O men,] you are deeply at variance as to what to believe: 8 He is made to turn away from it who is (himself) averse. 9 Slain be those who mould from their imaginations. 10 who flounder in the depths of ignorance. 11 They ask, “When will be the Day of Judgement?” 12 [It will be] a Day when they will be sorely tried by the fire, 13 (And told:) "Taste your punishment. This is what you were trying to hasten." 14 As for the God-fearing, they shall be in the midst of gardens and fountains, 15 Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good. 16 They used to sleep but little by night [invoking their Lord (Allah) and praying, with fear and hope]. 17 and in the mornings they would ask for forgiveness; 18 and in their wealth was a share for whosoever asked and for whosoever was prevented. 19 AND ON EARTH there are signs [of God's existence, visible] to all who are endowed with inner certainty, 20 just as [there are signs thereof] within your own selves: can you not, then, see? 21 There is in the heavens your sustenance, and whatever has been promised you. 22 Then by the Lord of the heaven and earth, indeed, it is truth - just as [sure as] it is that you are speaking. 23
