No, by the moon! 32 And by the night when it withdraws, 33 and the dawn when it is white, 34 Verily, that [hell-fire] is Indeed one of the great [forewarnings] 35 a warning to humankind, 36 to whoever among you desires to go forward, or lag behind. 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 except those of the right hand 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 “What took you into the hell?” 42 They will say: "We were not of those who prayed; 43 “Nor used to feed the needy.” 44 And plunged into useless things with those who were obstinate, 45 And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie 46 "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain." 47 The intercession of the intercessors will be of no benefit to them. 48 What ails them, that they turn away from the Reminder, 49 As they were frightened asses 50 fleeing before a lion? 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 Nay! but they do not fear the hereafter. 53 Nay, verily. Lo! this is an Admonishment. 54 So whoever pleases may mind it. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
