Moses said, "Lord, grant me courage. 25 and make my task easy for me. 26 “And untie the knot of my tongue.” 27 "So they may understand what I say: 28 And appoint for me a minister from my household. 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Strengthen me through him, 31 And share my task, 32 "That we may glorify You much, 33 and may remember You much. 34 Surely, Thou art seeing us. 35 He said: Thou art granted thy request, O Moses. 36 And indeed, another time, already We have shown thee favour, 37 when We revealed Our will to your mother, saying, 38 Saying: Put him into a chest, then cast it down into the river, then the river shall throw him on the shore; there shall take him up one who is an enemy to Me and enemy to him, and I cast down upon you love from Me, and that you might be brought up before My eyes; 39 What time thy sister was walking along and saying: shall I direct you unto one who will take care of him? Thus We returned thee to thy mother that she might cool her eyes and she might not grieve. And thou slewest a person, but We delivered thee from sorrow, and We tried thee with several trials. Then thou tarriedst for years among the people of Madyan then thou camest according to fate, O Musa! 40 And I produced you for Myself. 41 Go thou and thy brother with My signs, and slacken not in remembrance of Mine. 42 “Both of you go to Firaun; he has indeed rebelled.” 43 yet speak gently to him, that haply he may be mindful, or perchance fear.' 44 'O our Lord' both said, 'We fear lest he may be excessive against us or become insolent' 45 'Fear not,' said He. 'Surely I shall be with you, hearing and seeing. 46 So, go to him, and say: 'Behold, both of us are the Messengers of your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not chastise them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord; and peace shall be for him who follows the true guidance. 47 it has been revealed to us that punishment shall overtake him who rejects it and turns away!'" 48 (When this message was delivered), (Pharaoh) said: "Who, then, O Moses, is the Lord of you two?" 49 Musa said: our Lord is He who vouchsafed unto everything its creation, then guided it. 50 (The Pharaoh) said: "And what about the former generations?" 51 [Moses] said, "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a record. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 He who appointed the earth to be a cradle for you, and therein threaded roads for you, and sent down water out of heaven, and therewith We have brought forth divers kinds of plants. 53 Eat (for yourselves) and pasture your cattle: verily, in this are Signs for men endued with understanding. 54
