Jinns (Al-Jinn)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Say thou: it hath been revealed unto me that a company of the jinn listened, and said, verily we have listened to a Recitation wondrous. 1 guiding to rectitude. We believe in it, and we will not associate with our Lord anyone. 2 for [we know] that sublimely exalted is our Sustainer's majesty: no consort has He ever taken unto Himself, nor a son! 3 ‘And that the fool among us used to utter false exaggerations against Allah.’ 4 we never thought that either human or jinn would ever tell a lie against Allah!' 5 And there were men from mankind who sought refuge in men from the jinn, so they [only] increased them in burden. 6 They thought, as you did, that God would never raise up anyone from the dead. 7 We sought to reach heaven, but found it filled with strong guards and flames -- 8 We would sit there on seats to hear; but any listening now finds a meteor in wait for him. 9 And so we know not whether evil is intended for those in the earth, or whether their Lord intends for them rectitude. 10 And that some of us are good and others of us are below that: we are sects following different ways: 11 'But we think that we can by no means frustrate Allah throughout the earth, nor can we frustrate Him by flight. 12 And that when we heard the guidance, we believed in it; so whoever believes in his Lord, he should neither fear loss nor being overtaken (by disgrace): 13 'Amongst us are some that submit their wills (to Allah), and some that swerve from justice. Now those who submit their wills - they have sought out (the path) of right conduct: 14 but as for those who abandon themselves to wrongdoing - they are indeed but fuel for [the fires of] hell!'" 15 And had they kept to the path surely We would have watered them with rain plenteous. 16 That We may test them thereby, and whoso turneth away from the remembrance of his Lord; He will thrust him into ever-growing torment. 17 ‘And that the mosques are for Allah only – therefore do not worship anyone along with Allah.’ 18 "Yet when the Devotee of Allah stands forth to invoke Him, they just make round him a dense crowd." 19
