[O Men!] Are you more difficult to create than the heaven which He has built, 27 High has He reared its vault and formed it in accordance with what it was meant to be; 28 and covered its night with darkness and brought forth from it its day; 29 And after that He spread the earth, 30 He brought forth from it its water and its pasturage. 31 And stabilized the mountains 32 [all this] as a means of livelihood for you and your animals. 33 So when the greatest universal disaster arrives, 34 The day when man will call to mind his (whole) endeavour, 35 Hell fire will become visible for those who would see it. 36 then he who transgressed 37 and preferred the present life, 38 Then surely the hell, that is the abode. 39 but one who fears to stand before his Lord and restrained himself from base desires, 40 most surely his abode shall be Paradise. 41 They ask you about the hour, when it will come. 42 What concern do you have to speak about that? 43 [seeing that] with thy Sustainer alone rests the beginning and the end [of all knowledge] thereof? 44 You are but a Herald of Warning, for one who fears it. 45 It will be, on the Day they see it, as though they had not remained [in the world] except for an afternoon or a morning thereof. 46
