Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 And when the graves are turned upside down (and they bring out their contents) 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). 11 They know whatever you do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire. 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 And what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
