Surely We created man of a clay of mud moulded, 26 As We fashioned jinns before from intense radiated heat. 27 When your Lord said to the angels: 'See, I am creating a mortal from clay of molded mud. 28 When I have shaped him and ran My created soul in him fall down prostrating towards him'. 29 Then the angels bowed themselves all together, 30 except Iblis who refused to join with the others in prostration. 31 (Allah) said: "O Iblis! what is your reason for not being among those who prostrated themselves?" 32 "How could I bow," said he, "before a mortal whom You created from fermented clay dried tingling hard?" 33 (Allah) said: "Then get thee out from here; for thou art rejected, accursed. 34 "And verily, the curse shall be upon you till the Day of Recompense (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)." 35 Said he, 'My Lord, respite me till the day they shall be raised.' 36 "You are among the reprieved," (said the Lord), 37 unto the day of a known time.' 38 (satan) said: 'My Lord, for Your perverting me, I shall make (matters) in the earth seem most fair to them and I shall pervert all, 39 except the devoted amongst Your worshippers. 40 He (Allah) said: 'This is for Me the Right Path 41 Over My true servants you will be able to exercise no power, your power will be confined to the erring ones, those who choose to follow you. 42 And surely Hell is the promised place of them all: 43 "It (Hell) has seven gates, for each of those gates is a (special) class (of sinners) assigned. 44
