AND IT IS We who have built the universe with [Our creative] power; and verily, it is We who are steadily expanding it. 47 And the earth – We spread it out, and how well have We smoothed it! 48 We have created everything in pairs so that perhaps you may take heed. 49 And so, [O Muhammad, say unto them:] "Flee unto God [from all that is false and evil]! Verily, I am a plain warner to you from Him! 50 And set not up (or worship) any other ilahan (god) along with Allah [Glorified be He (Alone), Exalted above all that they associate as partners with Him]. Verily, I (Muhammad SAW) am a plain warner to you from Him. 51 Likewise, there came no messenger to those before them, but they said, "He is a sorcerer or a madman." 52 Have they (the people of the past) transmitted this saying to these (Quraish pagans)? Nay, they are themselves a people transgressing beyond bounds (in disbelief)! 53 Turn, then, away from them, and thou shalt incur no blame; 54 Keep on reminding them. This benefits the believers. 55 I created the jinn and humankind only that they might worship Me. 56 I seek not any provision from them (i.e. provision for themselves or for My creatures) nor do I ask that they should feed Me (i.e. feed themselves or My creatures). 57 Verily Allah! He is the Provider, Owner of power, Firm. 58 The evildoers shall have their portion, like the portion of their fellows; so let them not hasten Me! 59 Woe then to the unbelievers for their Day which they were promised! 60
