Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 That a man receives but only that for which he strives; 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 and that He is the Lord of (the star) Sirius, 49 and that it is He who destroyed the ancient [tribes of] Ad 50 And Thamud (people). He spared none of them. 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 and the Subverted City He also overthrew, 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 while you make merry? 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Stars (Al-Najm). Sent down in Mecca after Absoluteness (Al-Ikhlaas) before He Frowned ('Abasa)
