Jinns (Al-Jinn)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Say: It has been revealed to me that a party of the jinn listened, and they said: Surely we have heard a wonderful Quran, 1 It guides to the right course, and we have believed in it. And we will never associate with our Lord anyone. 2 for [we know] that sublimely exalted is our Sustainer's majesty: no consort has He ever taken unto Himself, nor a son! 3 And that our foolish one has been saying about Allah an excessive transgression. 4 And verily we! we had imagined that humankind and jinn would never forge against Allah a lie. 5 But there were certain men of mankind who would take refuge with certain men of the jinn, and they increased them in vileness, 6 They thought, as you did, that God would never raise up anyone from the dead. 7 And (the Jinn who had listened to the Qur'an said): We had sought the heaven but had found it filled with strong warders and meteors. 8 and that “we would take up stations in the heaven to try to hear but anyone who now attempts to listen finds a shooting meteor in wait for him”; 9 And we know not whether harm is boded unto all who are in the earth, or whether their Lord intendeth guidance for them. 10 Some of us are righteous, while others are not; we follow divergent paths. 11 'And we think that we cannot escape (from the punishment of) Allah in the earth, nor can we escape (from the punishment) by flight. 12 and that “when we heard the teaching of the Right Way we came to believe in it; he who believes in His Lord shall have no fear of suffering loss or being subjected to any injustice”; 13 And there are among us some who have surrendered (to Allah) and there are among us some who are unjust. And whoso hath surrendered to Allah, such have taken the right path purposefully. 14 And as for the Qasitun (disbelievers who deviated from the Right Path), they shall be firewood for Hell, 15 And proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “I have received the divine revelation that ‘Had they remained upright on the straight path, We would have given them abundant water.’ 16 So We might test them therein. And whoever turns away from the remembrance of his Lord He will put into arduous punishment. 17 The places of worship belong to God; so call not, along with God, upon anyone. 18 (It has been revealed to me that) When the slave of Allah (Muhammad SAW) stood up invoking (his Lord Allah) in prayer to Him they (the jinns) just made round him a dense crowd as if sticking one over the other (in order to listen to the Prophet's recitation). 19
