The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven with its impregnable castles; 1 by the promised day, 2 And by oath of the day that is a witness and by oath of a day in which the people present themselves. 3 slain were the Men of the Pit, 4 [Containing] the fire full of fuel, 5 When they were sitting near it 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 And they persecuted them for naught save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Surely for those who persecute believers, men and women, and do not repent afterwards, is the punishment of Hell, and the punishment of burning. 10 But those who believe and do good deeds shall be rewarded with gardens watered by flowing rivers. That is the supreme triumph. 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 He it is Who creates for the first time and He it is Who will create again, 13 He is the All-forgiving, the Most Loving One, 14 the Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 Effecter of what He intends. 16 Has not there come to you the story of the hosts, 17 the armies of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 although Allah surrounds them. 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 in a guarded tablet. 22
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
