Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 And I call the reprehensive soul to witness: 2 Does man think that We shall not gather his bones? 3 Yea! We are able to make complete his very fingertips 4 In fact man wishes to commit evil in front of Him! 5 He questions: "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 When the eye is bewildered, 7 the moon eclipsed. 8 when the sun and moon are gathered together 9 On that day man will cry: Whither to flee! 10 Never so, for there will be no escape. 11 The only place of refuge will be with God. 12 That Day will Man be told (all) that he put forward, and all that he put back. 13 But lo, man is well aware of himself, 14 Even if he presents his excuses. 15 Move not thy tongue with it to hasten it; 16 It's gathering and reciting is upon Us. 17 When We have recited it, follow its words attentively; 18 We shall be responsible for its explanation. 19 Not [as you think, that you (mankind) will not be resurrected and recompensed for your deeds], but (you men) love the present life of this world, 20 and give no thought to the life to come [and to Judgment Day]! 21 [Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant, 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 And on that day some faces will be ghastly. 24 Fearing that a great disaster is going to befall them. 25 Nay, but when the life cometh up to the throat 26 and it is said: 'Who is a healing chanter' 27 And he will conclude that it was (the Time) of Parting; 28 And the leg is wound about the leg, 29 To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. 30
