Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 As justification or warning, 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 for an appointed time? 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 The living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
