The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the heaven of the constellations! 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 Woe to the makers of the pit (of fire), 4 by a burning fire 5 When they sat by it, 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success. 11 Stern indeed is your Lord's punishment. 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 Effecter of what He intends. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Nay, but those who disbelieve live in denial 19 and God is behind them, encompassing. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! 22
