The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 who created and shaped, 2 And Who hath disposed and then guided, 3 who brings forth the pastures, 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 We shall facilitate for you the Easy Way. 8 So remind, if the reminder should benefit; 9 Those who have fear of God will benefit 10 but the reprobates will turn away 11 He will be cast into the Great Fire. 12 where he will neither die nor live. 13 He indeed hath attained bliss who hath cleansed himself, 14 And mentions the name of his Lord and prays. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and everlasting. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
