The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 by the promised day, 2 By the witness and the witnessed! 3 Woe to the makers of the pit (of fire), 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 When they were sitting at its edge. 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 The only reason for which they tormented the believers was the latter's belief in God, the Majestic, and Praiseworthy. 8 Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is of all things the Witness. 9 Verily those who affected the believing men and the believing women, and then repented not, theirs shall be the torment of Hell, and theirs shall be the torment of burning. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 VERILY, thy Sustainer's grip is exceedingly strong! 12 He it is Who creates for the first time and He it is Who will create again, 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 Lord of the Arsh, the Glorious, 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 Has the story of the hordes 17 (The armies of) Firaun and the tribe of Thamud. 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 But Allah doth encompass them from behind! 20 Nay! it is a glorious Quran, 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
