The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 striking sparks of fire with their hooves, 2 then raid by the dawn, 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 dividing the gathering. 5 Indeed, the human is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And indeed he himself is a witness to it. 7 Surely he is passionate in his love for good things. 8 ۞ Does he not know,- when that which is in the graves is scattered abroad 9 and all that is [hidden] in men's hearts is bared 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11
