The unbelievers have said, "Shall we and our fathers be brought out of the graves after we become dust? 67 We and our fathers were promised this before; these are but old stories." 68 Say thou: travel in the land and behold what like hath been the end of the culprits. 69 And grieve not for them and be not distressed because of what they plan. 70 They ask, "When will this promise be fulfilled, if what you say be true?" 71 Say, “It could be that a part of what you are impatient for is (already) after you.” 72 Indeed your Lord is Most Munificent upon mankind, but most men do not give thanks. 73 And verily thy Lord knoweth all that their hearts do hide. As well as all that they reveal. 74 There is nothing of the hidden in the heavens and the earth that is not recorded in the luminous Book. 75 Indeed this Qur'an explains to the children of Israel much of what they are at variance. 76 It is a guidance and a mercy to believers. 77 Lo! thy Lord will judge between them of His wisdom, and He is the Mighty, the Wise. 78 So put thy trust in God; thou art upon the manifest truth. 79 Verily, you cannot make the dead to hear (i.e. benefit them and similarly the disbelievers), nor can you make the deaf to hear the call, when they flee, turning their backs. 80 Nor can you be a guide to the blind out of their error; you cannot make to bear (any one) except those who believe in Our communications, so they submit. 81 ۞ And when the word befalls them, We will bring forth for them a creature from the earth speaking to them, [saying] that the people were, of Our verses, not certain [in faith]. 82
