No, by the moon! 32 And the night when it departs, 33 And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,- 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 As a warning to humanity - 36 to whoever among you desires to go forward, or lag behind. 37 Every soul is held in pledge against its own deeds, 38 Except the Companions of the Right Hand. 39 Sitting in the gardens, asking 40 and will ask of the criminals, 41 "What has caused you to enter Hell?" 42 They will answer: We were not of those who prayed 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 “And used to dwell on evil matters with those who think evilly.” 45 "And we used to belie the Day of Recompense 46 Until the certainty (of death) had come upon us. 47 The intercession of the intercessors shall then be of no avail to them. 48 What ails them, that they turn away from the Reminder, 49 As though they were asses startled. 50 Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey. 51 Nay; every one of them desires that he may be given pages spread out; 52 By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter, 53 Nay, verily, this (Quran) is an admonition, 54 So whoever pleases may mind it. 55 And they will not heed unless Allah willeth (it). He is the fount of fear. He is the fount of Mercy. 56
