Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 for an appointed term? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 The living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
