O Ye who believe! obey Allah and His apostle and turn not away therefrom while ye hearken. 20 Do not be like those who say: 'We hear' but they do not listen. 21 ۞ For the worst of beasts in the sight of Allah are the deaf and the dumb,- those who understand not. 22 If God had found any good in them, He would certainly have made them hear; but being as they are, even if He makes them hear, they will turn away in aversion. 23 Believers, obey God and the Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life. Know that God stands between man and his heart, and you shall all be gathered in His presence. 24 And be cautious against a sedition that will not smite the harmdoers alone. Know that the punishment of Allah is Stern. 25 And remember when you were only a few and meek in the land, and feared that men may snatch you away – He therefore gave you refuge and strengthened you with His help, and gave you good things as sustenance, so that you may be thankful. 26 O you who believe, do not be faithless to God and His Apostle, nor violate your trusts knowingly. 27 And know that your properties and your children are but a trial and that Allah has with Him a great reward. 28
