The Column (Al-Suff)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Everything in the heavens and earth glorifies God -- He is the Almighty, the Wise. 1 O YOU who have attained to faith! Why do you say one thing and do another? 2 Grievously odious is it in the sight of Allah that ye say that which ye do not. 3 Verily, God loves [only] those who fight in His cause in [solid] ranks, as though they were a building firm and compact. 4 And when Moses, said to his nation: 'Why do you harm me, when you know that I am the Messenger of Allah sent to you' But when they swerved away Allah caused their hearts to swerve. Allah never guides impious people. 5 And when (Prophet) Jesus, the son of Mary said: 'Children of Israel, I am sent to you by Allah to confirm the Torah that was before me, and to give news of a Messenger (Prophet Muhammad) who will come after me whose name shall be Ahmad' Yet when he came to them with clear proofs, they said: 'This is clear sorcery' 6 And who doeth greater wrong than he who inventeth a lie against Allah when he is summoned unto Al-Islam? And Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk. 7 they wish to put His light out with their mouths. But He will perfect His light, much as those who deny the truth may dislike it; 8 He it is Who has sent forth the Messenger with the Guidance and the True Religion that He may make it prevail over all religion, however those that associate aught with Allah in His Divinity might dislike this. 9
