Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 To the day of decision. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for the living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
