The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the heaven of the constellations! 1 and [then bethink thyself of] the promised Day, 2 and [of] Him who witnesses [all,] and [of] that unto which witness is borne [by Him]! 3 That accursed are the men of the trench 4 with fire abounding in fuel, 5 When they were sitting near it 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 And they persecuted them for naught save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning. 10 [But,] verily, they who attain to faith and do righteous deeds shall [in the life to come] have gardens through which running waters flow - that triumph most great! 11 Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe. 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 And He is Oft-Forgiving, full of love (towards the pious who are real true believers of Islamic Monotheism), 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Have you not heard the story of the hosts 17 of the Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 And yet, they who are bent on denying the truth persist in giving it the lie: 19 although Allah surrounds them. 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 [Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate. 22
