Al-Aadeyaat

The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By the chargers panting, 1 then raise sparks of fire (by their hoofs), 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn, 3 And therein raising dust. 4 thereby storming [blindly] into any host! 5 Indeed, the human is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 and to this, behold, he [himself] bears witness indeed: 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth 9 And the secrets of the hearts exposed, 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
