And recall what time thy Lord called unto Musa, saying: go thou unto the wrong-doing people. 10 the nation of Pharaoh. Will they not fear Me' 11 He replied, "Lord, I am afraid that they will call me a liar. 12 and my chest will become constricted and my tongue will not be loosed (in my speech), therefore, send to Aaron. 13 “And they have an accusation against me, so I fear that they may kill me.” 14 (It was) said: "By no means. Go with My signs, both of you. I am verily with you and I hear. 15 Go to the Pharaoh and tell him: 'We bring a message from the Lord of all the worlds 16 Let the children of Israel go with us!'" 17 (Pharaoh) said: "Did we not cherish thee as a child among us, and didst thou not stay in our midst many years of thy life? 18 And thou didst the deed thou didst, being one of the ungrateful!' 19 He (Moses) replied: 'Indeed, I did that when I was among those who stray. 20 so I fled from you, fearing you. But my Lord gave me Judgment and made me one of the Envoys. 21 "And this is the favour with which thou dost reproach me,- that thou hast enslaved the Children of Israel!" 22 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "And what is the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)?" 23 Moses answered: "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them, if you were only to believe." 24 'Do you not hear' said he (Pharaoh) to those around him. 25 Musa (Moses) said: "Your Lord and the Lord of your ancient fathers!" 26 Said he: Most surely your Apostle who is sent to you is mad. 27 He said: Lord of the East and the West and all that is between them, if ye did but understand. 28 (Pharaoh) said: "If thou dost put forward any god other than me, I will certainly put thee in prison!" 29 Moses said: "Even if I were to bring a Clear Sign to you?" 30 Said he, 'Bring it then, if thou art of the truthful.' 31 Thereupon [Moses] threw down his staff - and lo! it was a serpent, plainly visible; 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo, it was white to the beholders. 33

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
