Al-Shams
The Sun (Al-Shams)
15 verses, revealed in Mecca after Destiny (Al-Qadr) before The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sun and its morning brightness, 1 And the moon when she followeth him, 2 By the day when it glorifieth it. 3 and by the night when it draws a veil over it, 4 Consider the sky and its wondrous make, 5 by the earth and that (Power) which spread it out 6 And by Nafs (Adam or a person or a soul, etc.), and Him Who perfected him in proportion; 7 And given the faculty of knowing what is disruptive and what is intrinsic to it. 8 Indeed successful is the one who made it pure. 9 And he will indeed fail who corrupts it. 10 The tribe of Thamud denied with rebellion. 11 When the most wicked among them stood up in defiance. 12 Then the messenger of God said to them, "This is God's she-camel. Let her drink." 13 But they denied him, and they hamstrung her, so Allah doomed them for their sin and rased (their dwellings). 14 He dreadeth not the sequel (of events). 15
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
