Ask them: "Who gives you food and sustenance from the skies and the earth? Or, who is the lord of ear and eye? And who brings forth the living from the dead, the dead from the living? And who directs all affairs?" They will say: "God." So tell them: "Why do you not fear Him?" 31 Such is Allah, your Lord, the True. What, is there after truth, anything except error. Then how are you turned around (from faith)' 32 Thus is the Word of thy Lord justified concerning those who do wrong: that they believe not. 33 Say: 'Is there any (among) your associates who originates creation, then cause it to be revived yet again' Say: 'Allah, He originates creation, then revives it yet again. How is it that you are so perverted' 34 Say, "Does any of your partner-gods guide one to the Truth?" Say, "It is God who guides to the truth. Then, is He who guides to the truth more worthy to be followed or one who cannot find the way himself unless he be guided? What is the matter with you? How ill you judge!" 35 Many of them follow nothing but illusion; yet illusion cannot replace the reality. God verily knows what they do. 36 And this Qur'an is not such as could ever be invented in despite of Allah; but it is a confirmation of that which was before it and an exposition of that which is decreed for mankind - Therein is no doubt - from the Lord of the Worlds. 37 Do they say that the Messenger has himself composed the Qur'an? Say: 'In that case bring forth just one surah like it and call on all whom you can, except Allah, to help you if you are truthful. 38 Nay, they reject that of which they have no comprehensive knowledge, and the final sequel of it has not yet come to them; even thus did those before them reject (the truth); see then what was the end of the unjust. 39 And there are among them such as will in time come to believe in this [divine writ,] just as there are among them such as will never believe in it; and thy Sustainer is fully aware as to who are the spreaders of corruption. 40
