And a sign for them is the dead earth; We gave it life and We produced from it grain, so they eat from it. 33 We made in it gardens of date-palms and vines, and We caused springs to gush forth 34 So that they may eat of the fruit thereof, and their hands made it not. Will they not, then, give thanks? 35 Hallowed be He who hath created all the pairs of that which the earth groweth, and of themselves and of that which they know not! 36 And a sign for them is the night. We remove from it [the light of] day, so they are [left] in darkness. 37 The sun, too, follows its determined course laid down for it by the Almighty, the All Knowing. 38 We have determined the stations of the moon, so that (after its wanderings) it returns as a dried up inflorescent spike of dates. 39 Neither is it allowable to the sun that it should overtake the moon, nor can the night outstrip the day; and all float on in a sphere. 40 how We carried them and their offspring inside the laden Ark 41 We have created for them the like of it in which they ride. 42 and [that,] if such be Our will, We may cause them to drown, with none to respond to their cry for help: and [then] they cannot be saved, 43 unless it be by an act of mercy from Us and a grant of life for a [further span of] time. 44 When it is said to them: 'Have fear of that which is before you and behind you in order that you find mercy' 45 And never came an Ayah from among the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord to them, but they did turn away from it. 46 And when they are told, "Spend ye of (the bounties) with which Allah has provided you," the Unbelievers say to those who believe: "Shall we then feed those whom, if Allah had so willed, He would have fed, (Himself)? Ye are in nothing but manifest error." 47 And they say: When will this promise be fulfilled, if ye are truthful? 48 They must be waiting for but one single blast, which will overtake them while they are still disputing. 49 Then they will not be able to make bequest, nor they will return to their family. 50
