The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 And who brings out the pasture 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We will make you recite so you shall not forget, 6 Except what Allah, may will, He knows what is apparent and what is hidden. 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 but it will be ignored by the most unfortunate, 11 He who will be flung to the great Fire 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 He is successful who groweth, 14 And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion. 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Indeed this is in the former scriptures. 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
