The Amramites (Al-Imraan)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Alif, Lam, Mim. 1 Allah! There is no god but He, the Living, the Self-Subsisting, Eternal. 2 It is He Who has sent down the Book (the Quran) to you (Muhammad SAW) with truth, confirming what came before it. And he sent down the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel). 3 for the guidance of mankind; and He has also revealed the Criterion (to distinguish truth from falsehood). A severe chastisement lies in store for those who deny the signs of Allah. Allah is All-Mighty; He is the Lord of Retribution. 4 Nothing on earth or in the heavens is hidden from God: 5 He it is Who shapes you in the wombs as He likes; there is no god but He, the Mighty, the Wise 6 He it is who hath sent down unto thee the Book, wherein some verses are firmly constructed - they are the mother of the Book, and others consimilar. But those in whose hearts is a deviation follow that which is consimilar therein, seeking discord and seeking to misinterpret the same; whereas none knoweth the interpretation thereof save Allah. And the firmly-grounded in knowledge say: we believe therein, the whole is from our Lord. And none receiveth admonition save men of understanding. 7 Our Lord, make not our hearts to swerve after that Thou hast guided us; and give us mercy from Thee; Thou art the Giver. 8 Our Lord! verily Thou art the Assembler of mankind for a Day whereof there is no doubt. Verily Allah faileth not the tryst. 9
