The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By [the winds] that pluck out vehemently 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 By the lone stars floating, 3 and vie with the others (in carrying out their Lord's behests); 4 Then those who regulate the affair. 5 The day on which the quaking one shall quake, 6 And there will follow it the next blast. 7 Hearts on that Day will be throbbing; 8 and their eyes shall be downcast with dread. 9 They say: Shall we indeed be restored to (our) first state? 10 When we have become bones decayed! 11 They shall say, 'That then were a losing return!' 12 So that is not but a single shout. 13 And lo! they will be awakened. 14 Has there reached you the story of Moses? - 15 Recall what time his Lord called unto him in the holy vale of Tuwa. 16 and directed him: “Go to Pharaoh, he has rebelled, 17 "And say to him, 'Wouldst thou that thou shouldst be purified (from sin)?- 18 Then I will guide you to your Lord that you may come to fear Him.'" 19 So he showed him the mighty sign. 20 But [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] belied and disobeyed; 21 Then he turned away in a hurry, 22 then he mustered 23 Yet to a rich man, 24 but God seized him and meted out to him the chastisement of both the next world and the present: 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
