O Ye who believe! devour not usury, multiplied manifold; and fear Allah, haply ye may fare well. 130 And fear the Fire, which has been prepared for the disbelievers. 131 And obey Allah and the Messenger that you may obtain mercy. 132 ۞ And rush towards forgiveness from your Lord, and towards a Paradise that can hold all the heavens and the earth in its width – prepared for the pious. 133 Those who spend (benevolently) in ease as well as in straitness, and those who restrain (their) anger and pardon men; and Allah loves the doers of good (to others). 134 And those who, having done something to be ashamed of, or wronged their own souls, earnestly bring Allah to mind, and ask for forgiveness for their sins,- and who can forgive sins except Allah?- and are never obstinate in persisting knowingly in (the wrong) they have done. 135 They shall be recompensed by forgiveness from their Lord and by gardens beneath which rivers flow; there they shall abide. How good is the reward of those who labour! 136 Indeed there have been examples before you; therefore travel in the earth and see what was the end of the rejecters. 137 this [should be] a clear lesson unto all men, and a guidance and an admonition unto the God-conscious. 138 And be not infirm, and be not grieving, and you shall have the upper hand if you are believers. 139 If you have been wounded they too have suffered a wound. We cause this alternation of night and day in the affairs of men so that God may know those who believe, taking some as witness (of truth) from your ranks, for God does not like those who are unjust. 140 And so that Allah may purify* the believers, and destroy the disbelievers. (* Forgive them their sins, if any.) 141 Or did you suppose you should enter Paradise without God know who of you have struggled and who are patient? 142 And you had certainly wished for martyrdom before you encountered it, and you have [now] seen it [before you] while you were looking on. 143
