Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 And We gave them both the Book that made (things) clear. 117 And We led the twain on unto the straight path. 118 And left (their remembrance) for posterity. 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 That is how We reward those who do good. 121 They were two of Our believing servants. 122 And Elias (El Yaseen) was among the Messengers. 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 But not the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 'Peace be upon El Yaseen' 130 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 You pass by their desolate habitations in the morning 137 And at night. Then will you not use reason? 138
