Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the Envoys; 139 He abandoned his people 140 And he drew lots and was among the losers. 141 and the fish swallowed him while he was blaming himself. 142 Had he not been one of those who struggled hard, 143 He would have remained in its belly till the day when all will be raised. 144 ۞ We then put him ashore on a plain, and he was sick. 145 And We caused a plant of gourd to grow over him. 146 Then We sent him to a hundred thousand or more, 147 And they believed, so We gave them enjoyment [of life] for a time. 148 (Muhammad), ask them, "Do daughters belong to your Lord and sons to them? 149 Or that We created the angels female, and they are witnesses (thereto)? 150 Is it not a lie invented by them when they say: 151 “Allah has begotten.” They are liars! 152 Does He prefer sons to daughters? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you decide? 154 Do you not understand? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Then bring your book, if ye say sooth. 157 They link Him with jinns by lineage, yet the jinns know they will be brought before Him. 158 Hallowed be Allah from that which they ascribe to Him. 159 except for the sincere worshipers of Allah. 160 For, verily, neither ye nor those ye worship- 161 you shall not tempt any against Him 162 except him who shall roast in Hell. 163 (Those ranged in ranks say): "Not one of us but has a place appointed; 164 And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer]. 165 "And we are verily those who declare (Allah's) glory!" 166 And surely they used to say: 167 "If we had a message from [those of] the former peoples, 168 we would have been sincere worshipers of Allah' 169 But they disbelieved in it, so they are going to know. 170 And surely Our word has gone forth respecting Our servants, the messengers: 171 that, verily, they - they indeed - would be succoured, 172 And that certainly Our armies will be victorious. 173 So turn thou aside from them for a season. 174 And see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see. 175 Do they seek to hasten on Our Torment? 176 Then, when it descends into their courtyard (i.e. near to them), evil will be the morning for those who had been warned! 177 So turn away from them for a while. 178 and see, soon they shall see! 179 Glory be to thy Lord, the Lord of Glory, above that they describe! 180 Peace be with the Messengers (of God). 181 And Praise to Allah, the Lord and Cherisher of the Worlds. 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
