The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Event (the resurrection) comes 1 there is no denying its coming 2 abasing, exalting, 3 This will happen when the earth is shaken, shaken 4 And the mountains are broken down, crumbling 5 So that they shall be as scattered dust. 6 You will become three categories: 7 Then (as to) the companions of the right hand; how happy are the companions of the right hand! 8 Then those of the left hand -- how (unhappy) will be those of the left hand! 9 The foremost ones (in faith and virtue) - the foremost ones in receiving their reward. 10 Who will be honoured 11 They are in Gardens of peace. 12 A number of the earlier peoples, 13 but [only] a few of later times. 14 Seated on couches wrought in gold and encrusted with precious stones, 15 Reclining thereon, face to face. 16 Surrounded by immortal boys. 17 with goblets and ewers and a cup filled with a drink drawn from a running spring, 18 No headache will they have therefrom, nor will they be intoxicated - 19 And fruit that they prefer 20 And the flesh of fowls that they desire. 21 They will have maidens with large, lovely black and white eyes, 22 like the pearls in their shells: 23 As recompense for all they had done. 24 There they shall hear no idle talk, no cause of sin, 25 only the saying 'Peace, Peace!' 26 And the companions of the right hand; how happy are the companions of the right hand! 27 (They will be) among thornless lote-trees, 28 And acacia covered with heaps of bloom, 29 and spreading shade 30 and waters gushing, 31 and an abundance of fruits, 32 That will neither finish, nor ever be stopped. 33 and upraised couches. 34 Verily, We have created them (maidens) of special creation. 35 And made them virgin - pure (and undefiled), - 36 chastely amorous, 37 for those on the Right, 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
