A numerous company from among the first, 39 And a large group from the latter. 40 As for the people on the left hand, how miserable they will be! 41 In scorching wind and scalding water 42 and a shade of thick, pitch-black smoke, 43 Neither cool nor pleasant. 44 Indeed they were among favours before this. 45 and had persisted in the Great Sin. 46 ever saying, 'What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be raised up? 47 and perhaps, too, our forebears of old?" 48 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "(Yes) verily, those of old, and those of later times. 49 Will all be brought together to the tryst of an appointed day. 50 Then you, the erring and the deniers, 51 "You verily will eat of the trees of Zaqqum. 52 "Then you will fill your bellies therewith, 53 and thereupon you shall drink boiling water, 54 drink it as the most insatiably thirsty camels drink!" 55 Such will be their dwelling on the Day of Judgment. 56 We created you, why will you not believe! 57 Just consider (the semen) that you emit, 58 Is it you who creates it, or are We the Creator? 59 We have decreed Death to be your common lot, and We are not to be frustrated 60 In order that We may bring in your place the likes of you and make you grow into what you know not. 61 And you have indeed learnt about the first creation, so why do you not ponder? 62 So what is your opinion regarding what you sow? 63 Is it you or We Who make them grow? 64 If We so pleased, We could turn your harvest into chaff. Then you would start lamenting, 65 Lo! we are laden with debt! 66 nay, we are deprived [altogether]." 67 Have you considered the water you drink? 68 Is it you who cause it to come down from the clouds - or are We the cause of its coming down? 69 If We will We can make it bitter, so why do you not give thanks? 70 Have you considered the fire you kindle? 71 Is it you who have brought into being the tree that serves as its fuel - or are We the cause of its coming into being? 72 We, even We, appointed it a memorial and a comfort for the dwellers in the wilderness. 73 Wherefore hallow thou the name of thy Lord, the Mighty. 74
