By no means! By the moon, 32 And the night when it withdraweth 33 And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,- 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 it is a warning to man, 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 Every soul is a pledge for its own deeds; 38 except those of the right hand 39 Sitting in the gardens, asking 40 Of evil-doers: 41 What hath brought you to this burning? 42 They will answer: "We were not among those who prayed; 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 We plunged in with the plungers 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 until the Inevitable End [death] overtook us." 47 The intercession of the intercessors shall then be of no avail to them. 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 as though they were frightened wild asses, 50 Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey. 51 In fact every one of them wants to be given open books (like the prophets). 52 No indeed; but they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay, this surely is an admonition: 54 Let anyone who seeks guidance do so. 55 And they will not receive admonition unless Allah wills; He (Allah) is the One, deserving that mankind should be afraid of, and should be dutiful to Him, and should not take any Ilah (God) along with Him, and He is the One Who forgives (sins). 56
