Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

YOU ARE OBSESSED by greed for more and more 1 until you go down to your graves. 2 But nay, ye soon shall know (the reality). 3 Again, Nay! You shall come to know! 4 No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty... 5 you shall surely see Hell; 6 In the end you will indeed, most surely, behold it with the eye of certainty: 7 Then, on that day, you will be questioned about the bounties (of God). 8
