A token unto them is the dead earth. We revive it, and We bring forth from it grain so that they eat thereof; 33 and [how] We make gardens of date-palms and vines [grow] thereon, and cause springs to gush [forth] within it, 34 So that they may eat of the fruit thereof, and their hands made it not. Will they not, then, give thanks? 35 Glory be to Him Who created all the sexual pairs, of that which the earth groweth, and of themselves, and of that which they know not! 36 And a sign for them is the night; We strip the day out of it, thereupon they are in darkness. 37 And the sun runs its course for its final destination; this is a command of the Almighty, the All Knowing. 38 and [in] the moon, for which We have determined phases [which it must traverse] till it becomes like an old date-stalk, dried-up and curved: 39 Neither can the sun overtake the moon, nor the night outpace the day: Each of them keeps coursing in its orbit. 40 how We carried them and their offspring inside the laden Ark 41 and We have created for them the like of it whereon they ride; 42 And if We will, We drown them, and there is no help for them, neither can they be saved; 43 But (by) mercy from Us and for enjoyment till a time. 44 And when it is said to them, 'Fear what is before you and what is behind you; haply you will find mercy' -- 45 Never does any Sign of their Lord come to them, but they turn away from it. 46 And when it is said to them, 'Expend of that God has provided you,' the unbelievers say to the believers, 'What, shall we feed such a one whom, if God willed, He would feed? You are only in manifest error!' 47 They say: “When will this threat (of Resurrection) come to pass? Tell us if indeed you are truthful.” 48 They are awaiting only for one Cry to seize them while they are yet disputing, 49 So they shall not be able to make a bequest, nor shall they return to their families. 50
