T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. 1 We did not reveal the Qur'an to you to cause you distress; 2 But only as an admonition unto him who feareth. 3 a revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. 4 The Most Merciful [who is] above the Throne established. 5 His is what is in the heavens and what is in the earth and what is between them two and what is beneath the ground. 6 If you speak loudly; He has indeed knowledge of the secret and the hidden. 7 Allah! La ilahla illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He)! To Him belong the Best Names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached thee? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family, "Wait here. I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a brand from it, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 When he came to it, a voice called out: "Moses! 11 "Verily I am thy Lord! therefore (in My presence) put off thy shoes: thou art in the sacred valley Tuwa. 12 And I have chosen thee, so hearken unto that which is inspired. 13 I Am the only God. Worship Me and be steadfast in prayer to have My name always in your mind. 14 Verily the Hour is coming - I wish to conceal it - in order that every one may be requited according to that which he hath endeavoured. 15 Let none bar thee from it, that believes not in it but follows after his own caprice, or thou wilt perish. 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Musa! 17 He said: This is my staff whereon I lean, and wherewith I bear down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses. 18 He said: Cast it down, O Musa! 19 So he threw it down, and all of a sudden, it turned into a fast-moving serpent. 20 He said: Grasp it and fear not. We shall return it to its former state. 21 And thrust thy hand within thine armpit, it will come forth white without hurt. (That will be) another token. 22 "In order that We may show thee (two) of our Greater Signs. 23 Go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 24
