The people of Noah gave the lie to the Messengers. 105 When their brother Noah said to them, "Will you have no fear of God? 106 I am a trustworthy Messenger to you; 107 so fear Allah, and obey me. 108 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 109 So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. 110 ۞ They said: Shall we put faith in thee, when the lowest (of the people) follow thee? 111 He said: "It is not for me to know what they were doing. 112 Their reckoning rests with none but my Sustainer: if you could but understand [this]! 113 I will not drive away the believers. 114 I am only a plain warner. 115 They said: "If thou desist not, O Noah! thou shalt be stoned (to death)." 116 He said: My Lord! Lo! my own folk deny me. 117 So decide Thou between me and them with a decision, and deliver me and those who are with me of the believers. 118 So We delivered him and those with him, in the Ark filled (with all creatures). 119 Then afterward We drowned the others. 120 In this [story,] behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 121 And thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 122
