The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the (angels) who tear out (the souls of the wicked) with violence; 1 And who softly release the soul. (Of the believer) 2 by the angels who float (in the heavens by the will of God), 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 Then those who regulate the affair. 5 The day on which the quaking one shall quake, 6 The second blowing of the Trumpet follows it (and everybody will be raised up), 7 (Some) hearts that Day will shake with fear and anxiety. 8 and eyes will be humbly cast down. 9 They say: 'What, are we being restored as we were before, 10 Even if we should be decayed bones? 11 They will say: 'Then we are returned lost' 12 Surely it will need but one shout, 13 and lo, they will all be in the open plain. 14 Has Moses' story reached you? 15 When his Lord called to him in the holy valley, Towa: 16 and directed him: “Go to Pharaoh, he has rebelled, 17 and say to him: 'Are you willing to be purified, 18 and that I should guide thee to thy Lord, then thou shalt fear?"' 19 And he showed him the greatest sign, 20 In response, he denied and disobeyed. 21 Then he went back hastily. 22 Then he collected (his men) and made a proclamation, 23 Saying, "I am your Lord, Most High". 24 But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life. 25 Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth (Allah). 26
