[O MEN! Pay heed to God's messages,] for it is He who has endowed you with hearing, and sight, and minds: [yet] how seldom are you grateful! 78 And He it is who has caused you to multiply on earth; and unto Him you shall be gathered. 79 It is He who gives you life and death, and His the alternation of night and day. Even then you do not understand, 80 Rather, they say like what the former peoples said. 81 They say, “Will we, when we die and turn into dust and bones, be raised again?” 82 We were promised such things and so were our forefathers before us. All these are no more than tales of the past." 83 Say: "If you have knowledge, 'to whom belongs the earth' and, 'whoever is in it? '" 84 [And they will reply: "Unto God." Say: "Will you not, then, bethink yourselves [of Him]?" 85 Say: 'Who is the Lord of the seven heavens and the Lord of the mighty Throne?' 86 They will surely say: God. Say thou: will ye not then fear? 87 Say thou: in whose hands is the governance of everything, and who sheltereth but from whom none is sheltered, if ye know? 88 They will reply spontaneously, "It is God." Ask them, "Why has falsehood bewitched you?" 89 Nay, but We brought them the truth and they are truly liars. 90 God has not begotten a son, nor is there any god besides Him. Had this been so, each god would have taken away what he had created with him, and some would have risen over the others. God is much too glorious for what they attribute (to Him)! 91 who has knowledge of the Unseen and the Visible; high exalted be He, above that they associate! 92
