Remember Our votary Job because he called to his Lord: "Satan has afflicted me with disease and distress." 41 [and thereupon was told:] "Strike [the ground] with thy foot: here is cool water to wash with and to drink!" 42 We restored to him his family and like those with them, a mercy from Us and a reminder to a nation that understand. 43 [And finally We told him:] "Now take in thy hand a small bunch of grass, and strike therewith, and thou wilt not break thine oath!" for, verily, We found him full of patience in adversity: how excellent a servant [of Ours,] who, behold, would always turn unto Us! 44 Remember Our votaries Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, men of power and insight. 45 Verily, We did choose them by granting them (a good thing, i.e.) the remembrance of the home [in the Hereafter and they used to make the people remember it, and also they used to invite the people to obey Allah and to do good deeds for the Hereafter]. 46 and in Our sight they are of the chosen, the excellent. 47 And remember Ismail and Al-Yasha and Zulkifl; and they were all of the best. 48 This is a Reminder, and indeed for the cautious is a fine return, 49 Gardens of Eden, whereof the gates are opened for them, 50 Therein will they recline (at ease): Therein can they call (at pleasure) for fruit in abundance, and (delicious) drink; 51 ۞ And with them will be maidens of equal age with modest gaze. 52 This is what you were promised on the Day of Reckoning: 53 Truly such will be Our Bounty (to you); it will never fail;- 54 All of this; but, for the proud there is an ill return. 55 Hell, where they will burn, an evil resting-place. 56 (They will be told), "This is your recompense. 57 And other torments of similar kind, all together! 58 [Its inhabitants will say], "This is a company bursting in with you. No welcome for them. Indeed, they will burn in the Fire." 59 (The followers of the misleaders will say): "Nay, you (too)! No welcome for you! It is you (misleaders) who brought this upon us (because you misled us in the world), so evil is this place to stay in!" 60 They say: Our Lord! Whoever did prepare this for us, oh, give him double portion of the Fire! 61 And they will say: "What has happened to us that we see not men whom we used to number among the bad ones? 62 “Did we mock at them or did our eyes turn away from them?” 63 Truly that is just and fitting,- the mutual recriminations of the People of the Fire! 64
