So did you observe him who turned away? 33 who at first gave a little, then later held back? 34 Hath he knowledge of the Unseen so that he seeth? 35 Did not the news reach him, of that which is mentioned in the Books of Moosa? 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 Namely, that no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another; 38 And that for man shall be naught save that wherefor he endeavoureth. 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 And that to your Lord (Allah) is the End (Return of everything). 42 that it is He who brings laughter and tears; 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 That He did create in pairs,- male and female, 45 From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that He destroyed the former (tribe of) A'ad, 50 Thamud, 51 and before them the nation of Noah, they exceeded in evil and were insolent. 52 And He destroyed the overthrown cities [of Sodom to which Prophet Lout (Lot) was sent]. 53 and covered them with torment. 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 apart from God none can disclose it. 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 And will ye laugh and not weep,- 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62
