The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the heaven, holding mansions of the stars, 1 And the promised day, 2 and by the witness (Muhammad) and that which is witnessed (the Day of Judgment), 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 [Containing] the fire full of fuel, 5 When they were sitting near it 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is of all things the Witness. 9 Those who persecuted the believing men and women and never repented, there is for them the punishment of Gehenna (Hell), and for them the punishment of the burning. 10 Surely for those who believe and do the right are gardens with rivers running by. That is the greatest success. 11 Lo! the punishment of thy Lord is stern. 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 – the Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 Nay! The disbelievers (persisted) in denying (Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and his Message of Islamic Monotheism). 19 but all the while God encompasses them [with His knowledge and might] without their being aware of it. 20 It is indeed a glorious Quran, 21 (Inscribed) in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz (The Preserved Tablet)! 22
