Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

The emulous desire of abundance engrosseth you, 1 until you visit the graves. 2 You shall know. 3 Again, Nay! You shall come to know! 4 You will certainly have the knowledge of your deeds beyond all doubt. 5 Surely ye shall behold the Scorch. 6 and you will see it with your own eyes. 7 Then, shall ye be questioned that Day about the joy (ye indulged in!). 8

Almighty God's Truth.
