WHAT, THEN, is amiss with such as are bent on denying the truth, that they run about confusedly to and fro before thee, 36 On the right and on the left, in companies? 37 Does every person among them aspire to enter a garden of pleasure? 38 Nay, verily. Lo! We created them from what they know. 39 I swear by the Lord of the easts and the wests that We have the power 40 To replace them by (others) better than them. And we are not to be outrun. 41 Therefore leave them, involved in their indecencies and play, till they confront their day which they are promised. 42 The Day they will emerge from the graves rapidly as if they were, toward an erected idol, hastening. 43 Eyes lowered, shame attending. That is the day they have been promised! 44
