Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
HAS NEWS OF the Overpowering Event reached you? 1 Some faces that Day shall be downcast with fear, 2 Working [hard] and exhausted. 3 they shall burn in a Scorching Fire; 4 given to drink from a boiling spring. 5 They shall have no food but of thorns, 6 Which doth not nourish nor release from hunger. 7 Some faces on that Day will be radiant, 8 Pleased with their striving,- 9 in a Garden on high, 10 wherein they will not hear any vain talk. 11 with a flowing spring, 12 and couches raised high, 13 Goblets set, 14 And cushions ranged 15 And rich carpets (all) spread out. 16 Have they not looked at how the camel is created, 17 And at the sky - how it is raised? 18 And at the mountains, how they are rooted and fixed firm? 19 And at the earth - how it is spread out? 20 Therefore do remind, for you are only a reminder. 21 You are not at all a guardian over them. 22 However, those who turn away and disbelieve, 23 Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment. 24 Indeed only towards Us is their return 25 Then verily, for Us will be their reckoning. 26
Almighty God's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
